Manchester City fans have expressed their dismay on social media, with Kevin De Bruyne having been ruled out of tonight’s Champions League clash with Dinamo Zagreb through injury.
The Belgian maestro will play no part for the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium after picking up a groin issue against Everton at the weekend.

De Bruyne was substituted off late on against the Toffees, and fans have been hoping for a positive update on the 28-year-old.
A City statement read: “The extent of his layoff depends on how well he responds to the rehabilitation programme overseen by the Club’s medical staff.”
That surely means the ace will be a doubt to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.
De Bruyne has been in sizzling form so far this season having helped himself to nine assists in all competitions so far. He also has two goals.

Arguably he has been the Premier League’s standout player so far, and fans will be desperately hoping the issue is nothing too serious.
De Bruyne, of course, hardly featured last term as a result of several injury problems.
City fans react
With the player’s poor recent injury record firmly in the back of their minds, many City supporters were gutted to learn of the development on Twitter:
