Manchester City are seemingly in pole position to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who Sky Sports reported this week is keen to leave the north London club this week.
Sky Sports Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that City are seriously interested in the England captain, and that Pep Guardiola’s side are planning to open talks with the 27-year-old striker. The Premier League champions are searching for a striker this summer, with Sergio Aguero set to leave the club at the end of this season.

The Athletic report that Kane is keen on remaining in England, a factor which plays well into City’s hands heading into the transfer window, and for supporters on social media, they are hopeful the club can sign the Tottenham talisman this summer, who could be a perfect replacement for Aguero.
Here’s what some City supporters had to say on Twitter about Romano’s update on Kane…

Kane has three years left on his current deal with Spurs, meaning it could take a Premier League record offer for City to tempt Daniel Levy into selling Tottenham’s prized player.
