Ilkay Gundogan has been cleared from injury after the Manchester City midfielder came off in the 56th minute in last night’s Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Bild journalist Christian Falk reported via Twitter that the former Borussia Dortmund star, who was today called up for Germany’s 2020 EURO squad, is fine, and that the injury Gundogan sustained against the Seagulls is not as bad as first feared, which will come as a big boost for City and Pep Guardiola.

Gundogan has been one of City’s best performing players this season, with the 30-year-old midfielder hitting 13 goals in the Premier League this campaign and is a contender for the PFA Player of the Year award, along with other star names from the Cityzen’s squad, who ran away with the league title this year.
The news was a relief to not only Germany supporters, but also City fans, with Gundogan now likely to feature for the club in their UEFA Champions League final against Chelsea in 10 days time.

Here’s what some City fans had to say on Twitter about Gundogan’s injury update…
