Many Manchester City fans were left purring after the club’s 2-1 victory over Everton on New Year’s Day, with youngster Eric Garcia shining.
The Spaniard was brought in alongside Fernandinho at centre-half by Pep Guardiola for his second consecutive Premier League start.

Garcia produced a fantastic performance for City, and is surely in contention to start more games in the Premier League from here.
Against the Toffees he had 113 touches of the ball (@SuperbiaProelia), and recorded a pass completion rate of 94%.
He also made five recoveries, three clearances and four interceptions.
It was a fine display from the 18-year-old, who made his top-flight debut back in September.

City have struggled defensively this term and there was still no clean sheet against Everton, but Garcia’s composure appears to be something the team really benefit from.
