Aymeric Laporte is a surprise target for FC Barcelona this summer.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo have claimed that the former Athletic Bilbao defender is keen to leave Manchester City this summer.
Furthermore, Barcelona are believed to be plotting a move for the centre-back.

The Athletic reported earlier this week that Laporte is considering his options this summer after losing out on a first-team place to John Stones and Ruben Dias.
Aymeric Laporte could leave this summer
Although Laporte is yet to put a foot wrong for City since joining in January 2018, the form of Stones and Dias has seen the Spanish international demoted to the bench for most of the season.

Indeed, Laporte made 27 appearances last season for City. However, the French-born centre-back started just 14 Premier League games.
Despite a potential summer transfer on the horizon, City supporters on social media want Laporte to remain with the club.
Here’s what some fans had to say on Twitter about the surprising news…

As reported by BBC Sport, Laporte was once a club-record signing for City, costing the club £57m.
