Manchester City fans were left purring on social media after Riyad Mahrez produced another top performance.
The winger was in action for Algeria against Colombia and starred in a 3-0 friendly win over the South Americans.
Mahrez helped himself to two goals in the match, and also assisted for Baghdad Bounedjah.
Mahrez’s two goals were his fourth and fifth of the season for club and country, and the star appears to have finally recaptured the brilliant form he showed at former club Leicester City.
Mahrez has undoubtedly been one of City’s top performers so far this season, and fans are loving his renaissance when at one point it looked as though his price tag might have proved too big a burden.
The star has been benefitting from the knee injury sustained by Leroy Sane, and his form has been so good that even Bernardo Silva has seen less game time than many would have predicted.
City fans react
