Manchester City fans fume as club reportedly might sell ‘world class’ Aymeric Laporte to Barcelona

FC Barcelona could sign Aymeric Laporte this summer with Manchester City reportedly open to selling the defender.

Sport claim that FC Barcelona are interested in the Spanish centre-back, and that City are willing to open negotiations for former Athletic Bilbao star.

Laporte lost his starting XI place in the City team following the arrival of Ruben Dias and the revival of John Stones. Furthermore, reports suggest the defender could leave this summer.

Laporte could join Aguero and Garcia in Barcelona

Indeed, Barcelona have already signed two players from City in the past few weeks in the form of Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia.

Laporte, though, will cost the Catalan club a pretty penny if they were to make an approach for the defender.

Despite not featuring much for City this season, supporters on social media want Laporte to stay with the club.
