Manchester City recoded a routine victory over Fulham on Saturday night in the Premier League – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter praised their defender Aymeric Laporte for his performance.
Hosts Fulham deserve a special mention for their first-half display, as they went toe-to-toe with Man City, and the teams were goalless at half time.
But Premier League leaders Man City kicked on in the second period to secure a 3-0 win, and gain another three points.
Pep Guardiola’s side are now 17 points clear of second-placed Manchester United, albeit they have played two extra games.
John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero were all on the scoresheet for the visitors at Craven Cottage within the opening 15 minutes of the second half.

A selection of Man City supporters on social media believe that Laporte was a real standout at the back.
The 26-year-old made one remarkable defensive block, plus he slotted effortlessly in as the left-sided centre-back in a back three.
With so many brilliant options in the heart of defence, Guardiola managed to have Laporte, Stones and Ruben Dias all on the pitch together, so it’s no surprise they kept a clean sheet.
Laporte hasn’t been a nailed-on starter this season like in recent years, but some fans were amazed by his weekend contribution:
