It has been a season to remember for Manchester City. And it’s not just the first-team who have enjoyed success.
The U-23 side enjoyed a memorable year under Enzo Maresca. The Cityzens claimed the Premier League 2 title, with the likes of Liam Delap and Cole Palmer flourishing in the division.
And the duo have been recognised for their talents. The City players have been nominated for the Player of the Season award in PL 2. Delap hit 24 goals and five assists in 20 appearances, whilst Palmer scored 14 and assisted another six in 16 outings.
The two young City players are rated highly at the club, and it is likely that the duo will both feature for the first team next season under Pep Guardiola.
