'Too injury prone', 'Hard pass': Some Man City fans react after links to 'BTEC Vladamir Weiss'; contract expires in 2022
Some Manchester City fans were reacting after the club were linked with a move for Ousmane Dembele.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants are ‘contemplating’ whether to offer the winger to the Citizens. The player’s representatives are holding talks with the outfit over his future.
They plan to offer Dembele a new deal, however, if he rejects the deal they’d want to sell him.
The player’s profile is one that Pep Guardiola likes and the boss has given his ok to a swap deal with Bernardo Silva.
However, the 24-year-old has shown no desire to leave the Spanish outfit.
Dembele played 44 times across all competitions last season, scoring 11 times.
TBR View: Dembele move would suit Manchester City, but, past hints at potential problems
Recent speculation hints at potential exits for Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus. It would leave the Citizens feeling incredibly light in attack.
And given their financial plight, incomings can’t be too expensive. A move for Dembele would make sense for Manchester City.
The ace has just one-year left on his current deal and would be available at a cut-price fee.
