Manchester City have found themselves in a spot of bother in the goalkeeping department after an injury to Claudio Bravo. The Chilean back up to Ederson has suffered an Achilles tendon rupture which will rule him out for much of the season.
The Premier League champions sold both Angus Gunn and Joe Hart this summer, so had to recall Aro Muric from a loan spell at NAC Breda. The Montenegrin youngster is now City’s main back-up keeper until January at least.
So perhaps the winter is finally the time for Manchester City to exercise a buy-back option on a very talented 26-year-old.

Manchester City signed Argentine international Geronimo Rulli from Deportivo Maldonado in 2016. He was swiftly loaned back to previous club Real Sociedad, where he had spent time on loan for two seasons.
Manchester City eventually sold him to the Spanish side, but retained a buy-back clause in his deal. As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the deal increases in price year on year. If City wanted him back in January, he would cost them €16 million (£14.3 million).
Rulli had a disappointing campaign last term but has earned his way back into the starting position at the Anoeta. A regular in La Liga for the past four seasons, Rulli would be a perfect back-up option to Ederson at the Etihad Stadium.
In January, it might finally be time for Manchester City to bring him back.
