Two managers slowly rebuilding
Pep Guardiola and Brendan Rodgers have both started the process of rebuilding and remoulding Manchester City and Celtic respectively both in terms of quality and style.
Whilst City may have stumbled somewhat in recent weeks it is impossible to conclude that Guardiola’s arrival has been anything but a major boost to the blue half of Manchester. He has implemented a new, exciting, free-flowing style of football that re-energised and re-enthused everyone surrounding the club. You fully expect that given time and the financial backing the City’s wealthy owners undoubtedly possess that Guardiola will start to secure domestic and European silverware sooner rather than later.
Rodgers is currently rebuilding his own managerial reputation north of the border and he has made a fantastic start to life at Celtic. Under his guidance The Hoops are unbeaten in domestic competitions, are storming clear of their rivals in the Scottish Premier League and secured their first trophy of the season when the defeated Aberdeen in the League Cup last month. The challenge for Rodgers this season is to secure a domestic treble whilst long-term he needs to find a way of returning Celtic to their past European glories.
