Reported Newcastle United managerial target Jorge Jesus has spoken out about his future, in conversation with Portuguese publication Record.
Goal.com claimed earlier this week that the Flamengo head coach has been identified as a potential new manager for the Magpies, who are on the verge of a takeover.
Jesus has an impressive CV, winning 20 trophies during his career including three Portuguese Primeira Liga titles, a Brazilian Serie A title and the Copa Libertadores.

Javier Saviola, formerly of Barcelona, Real Madrid and the Argentina national team, previously compared the 65-year-old to Marcelo Bielsa (Noticias Ao Minuto).
When asked about his future, Jesus told Record: “Right now, I have nothing on my mind. I have to live day by day, know that what happens is because of this (global health crisis) and make decisions.
“I have two months, and Flamengo’s directors have to decide what is best for them.
“We feel like we’ve created a great team. That’s one of the factors that motivates me a lot more to continue, and the way I’ve been treated too.
“I have two months to decide my future. I feel that Flamengo want me a lot and that is decisive for me, to have a club that wants me a lot.”

With Newcastle on the verge of a takeover, the Magpies have been linked with several high-profile coaches amid the prospect of St James’ Park having a huge budget going forward.
The prospective new owners are expected to have major ambitions upon arriving at Newcastle, and Steve Bruce’s future at the club has been cast into doubt.
Indeed, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund believed to control assets worth around £320billion, it’s no surprise that the rumour mill has gone into overdrive on Tyneside.
While Mauricio Pochettino and Rafael Benitez are believed to be the frontrunners for the job (Le10 Sport), Jesus is also a high-profile coach who would very much impress in the Premier League.
That said, while he hasn’t closed the door on a departure from Flamengo, it does appear as though his heart is set on an extension at the famous Brazilian club.
