Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly slashed their asking price for goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma amid interest from Manchester City.
TBR Football understand Ederson has asked to leave City for Galatasaray – even if Guardiola has publicly denied that – and that Donnarumma would be City’s chosen replacement.
Manchester United have also been strongly linked with Donnarumma, and despite widespread reports they are not looking for a new goalkeeper, they are said to be close to signing Senne Lammens.

Andre Onana has been benched by Ruben Amorim so far this season while second-choice Altay Bayindir cost United with his error for the only goal in defeat to Arsenal. So Amorim may be tempted into a u-turn in the final week of the transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain ‘lower’ Donnarumma asking price with one week left of transfer window
Paris Saint-Germain have made it clear that Gianluigi Donnarumma can leave the Parc des Princes having signed Lucas Chevalier as his replacement.
City appear to be in pole position to land the 26-year-old Italian but that will hinge on Ederson departing. Ederson has a year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium so would command a fee.

Donnarumma, however, would be considerably more expensive, so City may be encouraged by reports in France suggesting PSG have lowered their asking price significantly.
RMC Sport say that PSG were previously hoping for a fee of £43m for Donnarumma, but would now accept under £30m.
Gianluigi Donnarumma could solve Manchester United goalkeeper concerns
United have reportedly insisted they are not in the market for a goalkeeper, however Bayindir’s struggles so far this season coupled with Donnarumma’s availability could prompt a late u-turn before the transfer deadline.
Senne Lammens would offer depth in that department, however Donnarumma would offer an affordable and experienced option as Amorim looks to solidify his defence.
| Games | Save success | Goals conceded | Clean sheets | Pass success | |
| Ederson | 26 | 67% | 26 | 10 | 86.3% |
| Gianluigi Donnarumma | 24 | 66% | 25 | 4 | 85.1% |
| Andre Onana | 34 | 67% | 44 | 9 | 69.8% |
Doubts have been raised over Donnarumma’s suitability to play with the ball under Pep Guardiola, so a move to Old Trafford may appeal more.
But he may also prefer a switch to City given their Champions League involvement compared to United’s lack of European football.
Whatever happens, a transfer battle between City and United could make the next week interesting.
