Gylfi Sigurdsson has heaped praise on Carlo Ancelotti, amid an exciting season for Everton.
The Toffees are flying high in third place at the moment, level on points (29) with Leicester City, who have played a game more.
Everton have recovered well after a tough November, winning their last five games in the league.
They were controversially denied the chance to make it six when the Manchester City game was called off yesterday due to a number of recorded Covid-19 cases, so attention will turn to New Year’s Day’s game against West Ham United.
One man who has played a key role in the recent upturn is Iceland international Sigurdsson, who has hit winners against Sheffield United and Chelsea in December.
The £100,000-a-week star (Spotrac) has been speaking about the mood at the club, and hailed his manager.
He said (Everton official): “You can feel the difference, the positivity around the dressing room.
“It looks good at the moment for us but we need to keep going.
“I’ve enjoyed working with the manager a lot.
“Man-to-man, he’s fantastic, dealing with different kinds of situations. He is very calm, probably because he has seen it all before and knows exactly what to do.
“He’s just a great person to be around.”
TBR’s View – Everton well placed to do something exciting

To have the total admiration and respect of a set of players is crucial to success, and right now Toffees fans can surely dream of Europe in this most open of seasons.
