Tottenham Hotspur academy talent Tyrese Hall has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City.
Spurs‘ academy teams are enjoying outstanding seasons. The Under-21s are top of the Premier League 2 table with 11 wins from 11, while the Under-18s are second in the South Division of their league.
Such success may end up proving to be a double-edged sword for Tottenham, who now appear to have other clubs looking at their academy players.
Hall is one such player, according to Football Transfers. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is said to have dispatched his scouts to keep tabs on the 18-year-old.

Citizens scouts were reportedly in attendance at Broadhall Way where Hall was playing for Spurs U21s in a 5-3 win over Villa, in which he bagged two assists.
While Tottenham would like to retain Hall, there are concerns that the prospect of playing for Pep Guardiola could prove too enticing for the youngster to resist.
Hall has risen through the Spurs ranks to become an established player at U18 level who is also starting to feature for the U21s.
Previously a Chelsea academy talent, the midfielder scored 16 goals for the Spurs Under-16s and stepped up to play five times for the Under-18s while still a schoolboy in 2021/22.
Going full-time in July 2022, he signed his first professional contract with Tottenham three months later.
Tottenham midfielder Tyrese Hall is a ‘very exciting, skilful and creative player’
Tottenham youth team expert Superhotspur praised Hall in a scouting report written in December 2022.
‘A versatile player, who is capable of playing as a box to box midfielder, defensive-midfielder, CAM or as a winger,’ wrote Superhotspur.
‘Tyrese is a very exciting, skilful and creative player, regardless of which position that he starts matches in.
‘With his fine balance, vision for a forward pass and his excellent creativity, Hall is a player who I will very much be looking forward to following at Spurs during the future.’
With Man City seemingly in pursuit, let’s hope that Tottenham can convince Hall to stay put and commit his future to Spurs.
Tottenham convinced Radu Dragusin to join ahead of Bayern Munich, and likewise, Lucas Bergvall picked Spurs over Barcelona.
With that in mind, Tottenham are certainly a great place to be for young talents, so let’s hope that this is the case with Hall too.
