An “incredible” player Manchester City loaned out against many fans’ wishes is yet to start for his current club.
The Citizens may have made a multitude of solid signings this summer, but they have also let a lot of players go, either permanently or on loan.
And of those who have left on loan, there are some who Manchester City fans would have rather kept in the squad this season.
One such player is yet to really get going at his current club, with a mere 35 minutes of football under his belt as of mid-September.

Claudio Echeverri has barely played for Bayer Leverkusen
The player in question is Claudio Echeverri, who Man City loaned to Bayer Leverkusen on 21 August.
City fans were not particularly happy with Echeverri going out on loan, and criticism grew even more after Rayan Cherki was ruled out for two months.
The point of Echeverri’s loan move to Leverkusen was for him to pick up top-level experience, but it’s not as though he has been playing much either.
So far, the 19-year-old is yet to start a game for Leverkusen, and both appearances he has made for the Bundesliga club have been as cameos off the bench.
Echeverri was an unused substitute in Leverkusen’s last Bundesliga game, a 3-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Whether Manchester City can recall Claudio Echeverri immediately
City could certainly do with Echeverri in their ranks, especially since Leverkusen don’t seem to be making use of him.
However, City cannot recall the Argentine midfielder right away.
There is a break clause in place, but that will only be valid in the January transfer window, according to The Athletic’s Jordan Campbell.
In addition, Man City play Leverkusen in the Champions League and, unlike in the Premier League, loan players are allowed to play against their parent club in the competition.
Therefore, not only have City willingly deprived themselves of a player who could have covered for Cherki, but Echeverri could end up playing against City and dealing them damage.
Guardiola called Echeverri “incredible” during the Club World Cup, as per ESPN, but sadly his skills aren’t being put to good use at present.
