Tottenham remain intent on finishing the transfer window with a bang and are hoping to bring Manchester City winger Savinho to North London.

TBR Football understands that Tottenham are quietly confident about signing Savinho following fresh talks with City.

Tottenham Hotspur produced a shock 2-0 win at the Etihad Stadium and took the chance to hold further talks over a deal for the Brazilian.

With just one week remaining in the transfer window, the two clubs will soon need to accelerate talks to stand a chance of the deal happening.

Tottenham ready to offer over £60 million for Savinho

Fabrizio Romano has explained that Spurs have made it clear to Manchester City that they are prepared to offer in excess of 70 million euros for Savinho.

TBR Football revealed that Pep Guardiola was not keen to sell Savinho, but there is a sense that their stance has been relaxed.

The former Premier League champions are now open to selling the 21-year-old if they can bring in a replacement.

Romano told his YouTube channel: “Tottenham will go over 70 million euros. Even today, Tottenham told Manchester City that they are prepared to go over 70 million euros. Now the deal completely depends on whether Manchester City can find a replacement or not.

“The name wanted by Pep Guardiola is Rodrygo, but as I always told you, it’s not an easy deal. Real Madrid’s valuation of at least 100 million euros, the contract of Rodrygo, a huge salary, significantly higher than Savio’s, and Rodrygo’s affection for Real Madrid.

“But for sure, Tottenham will push again for Savinho, Tottenham will go back for Savinho – so it’s not over that story, the deal is absolutely on.”

Rodrygo was furious when Xabi Alonso subbed him off, and the chances of the winger leaving Real Madrid this week might have just increased.

Man City fans think the club are now open to accepting Tottenham’s Savinho offer

Man City fans are adamant that the club are now open to accepting Tottenham’s latest Savinho offer following Romano’s update.

But much will depend on them getting Rodrygo signed, but that is likely to be a very tricky deal to get done at this stage of the window.

Following Romano’s latest update, City fans took to X to share their thoughts on what could be happening in the deal for Savinho.

One fan said: “Sounds like City are happy now with the amount Spurs are willing to pay. Also, getting Rodrygo shouldn’t be an issue, City wouldn’t be negotiating with Spurs unless they’ve already spoken to Rodrygo and Madrid and got an encouraging answer.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Also sounded like City are now prioritising a “replacement” rather than only going for Rodrygo. The list might have expanded a little.”

“We’re getting some movement on Rodrygo now. According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest video sounds like City are happy to accept a deal at over 70m from Spurs for Savinho; this sounds like City are giving the green light to make their move for Rodrygo now,” claimed another fan.

Finally, another fan added: “I still think this gets done, the next 48 hours very important. If I’m City, I don’t even really try and negotiate with Madrid, I just bid 100M euros and put the ball in their court.”

The next few days will be decisive to learn whether Guardiola’s team could land Rodrygo and are open to selling Savinho to Spurs.
