Tottenham Hotspur are in negotiations to sign Manchester City winger Savinho, in what could be one of the shock transfers of the summer.

TBR Football revealed on Monday that Tottenham have stepped up talks to sign Savinho from Man City.

Spurs are hopeful of getting a deal done as they are aware of the winger’s desire to be playing regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

But after talks have commenced, City fans have a clear message for their club and Daniel Levy over what they want to happen during negotiations.

Man City fans want to make Savinho negotiations tricky for Daniel Levy

Manchester City fans are keen for the club to make Tottenham Hotspur’s negotiations to sign Savinho rather tricky, having had previous experience of deals with Levy.

Tottenham sold Kyle Walker to Man City back in 2017 for a deal worth around £53m, making him the most expensive defender in the world at the time.

In 2021, Levy cut off communication with Man City during talks over Harry Kane, and the England international never made the move to the Etihad Stadium.

So, after these tricky experiences with Spurs’ chairman, City’s supporters want Levy to have a taste of his own medicine as he attempts to sign Savinho.

City fans took to X to share their thoughts on the deal being discussed for the 21-year-old winger and made one thing very clear about Levy.

One fan said: “£40m. But Levy can have him for £90m. That’s how it works with Spurs players, give him a taste of his own medicine!”

“Daniel Levy has been nothing but a pain when dealing with City. We should return the favour and make it really tricky for Spurs if they want him,” claimed another supporter.

There were further calls for City to demand more money from Tottenham: “Levy has certainly shafted us over the years, so £90m or it’s no go.”

Finally, another fan wrote: We should sell him for no less than £80 million in the case of Spurs. Levy has always been a pain during transfers.”

TBR Football understands that Man City are keen to keep Savinho and will not make it easy for the North London club to sign the player this summer.

Tottenham are also in talks for Eberechi Eze as they look to make two significant attacking signings for Thomas Frank’s squad.

Levy will be hoping to keep the costs of both deals as low as possible so that he can bring the Premier League duo to North London.

Man City set Savinho asking price for Tottenham

TBR Football can reveal that City want around £50m plus bonuses to sell Savinho, given that the player is open to leaving for Spurs.

As mentioned, a deal will be tricky as the former Premier League champions have already rebuffed Spurs’ initial approach.

But Pep Guardiola tends to be ruthless when it comes to offloading players who don’t want to stay in his team and that could help things move along.

TBR Football’s resident Manchester City expert, Srinivas Sadhanand, claims that Savinho is at his best when playing right wing.
