Allan Saint-Maximin has impressed many people since coming to the Premier League with Newcastle United.
The Frenchman has been a breath of fresh air at St. James’ Park, dazzling spectators with his dribbling, speed and flair.
The next step for him is to achieve consistency and contribute more goals and assists, but it is clear to see that right now he is a potentially special player.

He’s certainly a bright spark for the Magpies, and one man who has been blown away by Saint-Maximin’s contributions and development is club legend Malcolm McDonald.
The 70-year-old, who played for Newcastle between 1971 and 1976, said of the star (Goal): “My old club have to guard against two things. The first is that they don’t sicken Allan Saint-Maximin through lack of quality support and lose him to one of his many admirers who will grow by the week. And the second is that they don’t become a one-man team.
“That’s how good the mesmerising Frenchman is.
“He is brave as a lion. He knows he is going to get whacked because he invites tackles but he picks himself up and goes again. He rides tackles and only an injury can stop him.”
TBR’s View – Saint-Maximin could become a destructive force in 2020/21
Saint-Maximin – who cost the club a reported £16.5 million (BBC Sport) – has had a year to bed in at Newcastle, and 2020/21 could well be something of a breakout year for him.

He’s got a good feel for the English top-flight now and knows what to expect from full-backs.
A year of experience under his belt will do him the world of good, and Newcastle could have a terrifying player on their hands – much likes Wolves do with Adama Traore – if he can stay fit.
