Liverpool saw off Aston Villa 2-0 this afternoon to get back to winning ways following their midweek hammering at Man City and Reds fans were loving what they saw from Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool skipper was dropped to the bench as Jurgen Klopp rang the changes for the clash with Dean Smith’s men.

It was a hard-fought clash at Anfield, too, as Villa scrapped throughout the game and did well to keep the Reds at bay until Sadio Mane opened the scoring late in the second period.

But it was the introduction of Henderson that sparked Liverpool into life. The skipper entered the fray in the 61st minute alongside Wijnaldum and Firmino and brought a fresh spark to the game for the home side.

It was something that didn’t go unnoticed by Reds supporters online, as a whole host of Liverpool followers were quick to point out the difference Henderson made.
