‘Makes the difference’: Liverpool target Yves Bissouma lauded by former teammate Lebo Mothiba

Liverpool are said to be keen on signing Brighton midfielder, Yves Bissouma, and his former teammate Lebo Mothiba is full of praise for the Seagulls star.

Talksport claims that the Reds are, along with Arsenal, keeping a keen eye on Bissouma’s progress at Brighton, with eyes on making a move in the next few windows.

It’s easy to see why, too. Bissouma, 24, has played 66 times for Brighton since moving to the Premier League and has become an integral figure under Graham Potter’s management.

And former Lille teammate Mothiba, told The Argus previously all about how good Bissouma can be, both on and off the field.

“I go way back with Yves. I started to play with him in the reserves and I scored a lot of goals.

“He is a very good midfielder, very skilful and he has confidence. Each and every time he is always looking for the ball and, when he has the ball, he makes the difference. He is very skilful and he is very strong.”

Bissouma, who earns a relatively modest £25k-a-week at the AMEX, per Spotrac, could well be open to a move to test his abilities on the ‘higher’ level, so to speak.

Brighton are progressing nicely under Potter but with both Liverpool and Arsenal sniffing, Bissouma may well take it upon himself to seek a move in the future.

Clearly a strong character, and this confirms it – TBR View

Anyone who watches Bissouma play knows what he is all about. He’s all action, good on the ball, and not afraid to put his foot in. Basically, the ideal midfielder.

It’s little wonder, then, that teams are looking at him and both Liverpool and Arsenal would both be improving their squads with this capture.
