Newcastle United were held to a draw by Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup Third Round clash yesterday.

Matt Ritchie ensured Newcastle earned a replay with a late penalty after Bradley Dack had headed Blackburn into the lead.

And Newcastle spurned a number of opportunities to score with Joselu a guilty party on a number of occasions.

The Spanish striker has struggled for form this season and once again drew a blank against Blackburn.

Joselu has scored twice in 16 games this season and has not netted since August.

The 6ft 4in target man has now gone 13 games without a goal and he was unable to break his duck against Rovers.

With just six goals since his summer 2017 switch from Stoke City, Joselu’s performances are not impressing Newcastle fans.

Magpies supporters are growing increasingly frustrated with the misfiring 28-year-old and they voiced their concerns on social media.

Many called for him to be sold this month, while others asked to play youngster Elias Sorensen instead.
