Spurs fans have been offering their opinions on Twitter this morning, as reports emerged suggesting the club wants to buy Nick Pope from Burnley.

The England stopper has been in sensational form for a number of seasons now. His stock has risen, and, at 28, the time is probably coming for Pope if he is to move to a very top club in English football.

The Daily Mail makes the claim, suggesting Pope, along with Manchester United’s Dean Henderson, sit top of the shopping list for Jose Mourinho as he seeks to replace Hugo Lloris.

Naturally, this sort of transfer rumour has got Spurs fans talking on Twitter. And it seems the addition of Pope would be a most welcome one amongst some Tottenham supporters.

While Lloris has been a great servant, the changing of the guard needs to come soon and it seems some Spurs fans would welcome Pope to North London with open arms.
