Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell has voiced his shock over Arsenal’s decision to recall Mika Biereth from his season-long loan spell.
The Danish youth international joined the Scottish side in the summer for the year, with Biereth impressing greatly with Motherwell having scored six goals and bagging five assists in the league.
However, despite this impressive run of form, Arsenal have made the decision to bring Biereth back to north London, with the Gunners expected to reportedly loan the 20-year-old out to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday.

And speaking to the press via Football Scotland, Kettlewell has expressed his annoyance over the decision, with Biereth one of Motherwell’s best players this season.
Indeed, the decision tor recall the youngster is a strange one from Arsenal, and it is one that could backfire if Biereth fails to settle in the Championship with Wednesday.
Kettlewell said: “It’s a major, major disappointment. This was a little bit unexpected. They believe there’s an opportunity to send him to another club that takes him that step beyond where we are just now.”
Arsenal could regret recalling Mika Biereth from Mothewell

With 11 goal contributions already this season, Biereth looked like he had found the ideal club to continue his development as one of Arsenal’s most exciting prospects.
However, whilst the Gunners’ reasoning for recalling Biereth makes sense, the north London side could be making a massive mistake with the Danish youngster.
As we know, the Championship is a hard division to crack, and although Biereth flourished in Scotland, there’s no telling what could happen at Wednesday should a move happen soon.
