It’s clear that Arsenal have been very keen to make the most of the loan market this season, seeking deals for several players.
Senior players on the periphery of things such as Kieran Tierney and Albert Sambi Lokonga have enjoyed very productive loan spells away, proving their rich worth.

Nuno Tavares is also beginning to find more game time at Nottingham Forest, whereas Marquinhos has just made his first minutes at Fluminense.
It’s clearly an opportunity Mikel Arteta and his team are keen to make the most of, explaining why several young players are out on loan too.
And whilst Charles Sagoe Jr is now enjoying a new chapter at Swansea City, the same can’t be said for Omar Rekik in Switzerland.
Rekik, who joined Arsenal in 2021, had been on loan to Wigan Athletic for the first half of this season, making 10 appearances in League One.
But having made the switch to Servette FC in January, a loan which contains an option to buy, the 22-year-old now can’t play league football.
Arsenal journalist Jeorge Bird provided this information on X, saying Servette had made a huge mistake, failing to submit their updated squad list for the season.
Arsenal defender Omar Rekik now can’t play league matches for Servette on loan this season
According to Bird, Servette failed to register Rekik along with two other new signings made over the winter.
And although the club are likely to appeal to the transfer commission, there’s unlikely to be any progress.

Bird shared a number of posts on X, and called the situation a ‘major concern’ even if Rekik could feasibly play in Europe.
He said: “Rekik can still play in the Europa Conference League and has had injury problems anyway but it’s a major concern if this issue isn’t resolved.”
Of course, with Rekik having an Arsenal contract until the summer of 2025, this isn’t great news for the club or player.
Arsenal will have been hoping for Rekik to take a step forward on loan this season, a player they are probably hoping to sell for a profit.
It seems unlikely that Rekik will have a first team future in North London, but he clearly does still have potential to fill.
That being said, it seems as if Arsenal would now be willing to sell another ‘outstanding’ player who’s currently out on loan.
