Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been praised by Ian Wright following his efforts over the course of the season including in the North London derby.
The 28-year-old has been in superb form for Jose Mourinho’s Spurs this term, scoring 13 goals and creating six more in his 17 league and cup appearances.
In Sunday’s Premier League derby with Arsenal, Son claimed an impressive opener, unleashing a long-range, curling effort into the top corner on 13 minutes.

The South Korea international then teed up Harry Kane for Tottenham’s second goal of the game in first-half injury time, his 19th goal contribution of the campaign.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, the Gunners legend waxed lyrical about Son and also wondered why “big teams” aren’t eyeing him.
“The way Arsenal play, the way Arsenal pass the ball around and get nowhere with it… 55 passes to one shot and go nowhere,” said Wright.
“You look at Tottenham’s goals, it was just efficient, clinical, they killed us man. I’m surprised we didn’t concede more goals.
“Son doesn’t get the credit he deserves. His goal is magnificent and I don’t know why big teams aren’t looking at him.
“The players believe in Mourinho right now. They’re getting it done. When you look at their team, goalkeeper, defence, midfield, forwards, you have to start saying, [Mourinho] can push this over.”
TBR View:
Son’s heroics for Spurs over the years obviously need no introduction, but he’s hitting new heights this season with some simply sensational performances.
The Tottenham attack has been shining for most of the season and, now the defence has tightened up, the North Londoners are looking the real deal as genuine title candidates.
