'Made me laugh': Grealish says one Arsenal player is really funny

Arsenal ace Bukayo Saka is one of the funniest players in England training, according to Jack Grealish.

The Gunners may have endured a difficult season, but Saka has been one of their shining lights.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a truly outstanding second season in the Arsenal first team.

His superb performances and consistency cemented his place as one of the Premier League‘s best youngsters.

Celtic strike Premier Sports deal - is this the "additional value" we've been waiting for?

Saka has made 46 appearances for Arsenal in 2020-21, registering seven goals and 10 assists.

The 19-year-old also made his England breakthrough this season and has made Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad.

On England’s TikTok page, Grealish admitted that Saka, along with Jadon Sancho, were the funniest in the setup.

“Funniest… there’s a few people who have made laugh,” said the Aston Villa captain.

“I’m going to go with Bukayo Saka or Sanch.”

“Real maturity”

Saka started on the left of an initial 4-2-3-1 setup as the Three Lions faced Austria in last Wednesday’s friendly.

He was sharp from the off as he threatened on the attack, worked hard to regain possession, and scored the winning goal.

“I thought he had a very good game,” Gareth Southgate told talkSPORT after the game.

“Right from the start, he was combining well in between the lines.

“He plays with a real maturity and confidence. He’s impressed us ever since he joined up.

“He played in a team at a big club in a difficult season and showed a real consistency – and he showed that tonight.”

Arsenal and England have a star in Saka – TBR View

For all of Arsenal’s woes this past season – and indeed, much of the season before – Saka was nothing short of superb.

The Gunners are lucky to have him in their ranks, as well as the likes of Emile Smith Rowe.

And there are plenty more talented players coming through the Hale End ranks that could well break through.

Now, Saka will hopefully shine for England as well – and it’s so good to hear he’s as great off the pitch as he is on it.
