Leeds United are interested in the signature of Luke Freeman, according to reports. London Football News is suggesting that Leeds are ready to make a bid for the QPR player of the season in the weeks to come.
Freeman has bags of Championship experience and would fulfill a needed role in the Leeds team, so undoubtedly fans would like to see this deal happen.
One of the current crop at Leeds United could also prove a big help.
Luke Ayling and Freeman go way back. The pair, both 27-years-old, came through the ranks together at Arsenal.
Ayling joined the club as a 10-year-old whilst Freeman entered late, having already made his senior debut for Gillingham, at the age of 16.
The pair both received winner’s medals for the FA Youth Cup in 2009. Ayling played in both legs against Liverpool, but Freeman did not manage to budge a certain Jack Wilshere from the side – but did feature as a substitute in the semi-final.
But the pair would undoubtedly love to be reunited at Leeds next season. Not that he would need any more incentive, but the presence of his old friend could make this an attractive move for Freeman.
