Leeds United midfielder, Kalvin Phillips, has once again got himself in the England squad after being selected by Gareth Southgate today.

It was a bittersweet day for the Whites, who had hopes of having three players included with the Three Lions squad. However, Luke Ayling and Patrick Bamford both narrowly missed out.

But Phillips seems to becoming a regular fixture in the squad. A superb season at Premier League level has enhanced his reputation and he’ll go head to head with Declan Rice in the middle of the park for a starting spot.

Phillips, naturally, was over the moon and he took to Instagram to celebrate another England call, clearly delighted with himself at being picked.

Of course, the Leeds midfielder is a popular figure both in and out of the city, and that showed with some of the replies, which included comments from current teammates and ex-players alike.
