Only two months ago, Luke Amos was the name on all Tottenham fans’ lips. The 21-year-old had been sensational throughout pre-season and earned a Premier League debut against Newcastle United.
Now, he is on the fringes of the Tottenham squad and has not made a match day squad since his cameo at St. James’ Park.
Whilst he may still be young and with three more years on his recently extended contract, the holding midfielder cannot afford to stagnate in the under 23s.

In the past two seasons Amos has enjoyed loan spells at Southend United in League One, where his opportunities were limited, and Stevenage in League Two.
With the loan window now shut, Amos will be forced to wait until the winter transfer window until he can move on in his search for regular first team football.
Until then, only an injury crisis may provide the former England under 18 international with a shot at anywhere near regular first team football, with the odd cup competition appearance possibly providing him with some hope.
