Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison produced a moment of magic for Brazil against Serbia on Thursday, and Luis Figo has had his say on the striker’s stunning goal.
Tite’s side are among the favourites to win the World Cup in Qatar. Brazil look incredibly strong, and Richarlison’s performance in their opening game showed they don’t always need Neymar to produce the goods.

Luis Figo hails Tottenham star Richarlison’s goal for Brazil
Richarlison’s first goal against Serbia showed his poacher’s instincts. The Tottenham man got on the end of a loose ball after Vinicius Jr’s shot was saved by Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
The 25-year-old’s second strike, however, was an absolute screamer.
Richarlison improvised and scored an acrobatic volley to seal the victory for Brazil. Many people are hailing the goal as the best at the World Cup so far this year, but Figo, despite being really impressed, believes Salem Aldawsari’s stunner for Saudi Arabia against Argentina was probably a bit better.
The Portugal icon said on Sports 18 after Brazil’s game on Thursday night: “Well, it’s beautiful to see.
“I don’t know if the control was the best but the finish was great. I don’t know if it was the goal of the tournament because the Saudi goal [vs Argentina] was beautiful too.”

TBR View:
Both Richarlison and Aldawsari’s strikes were absolutely magnificent.
The Saudi man’s goal will go down as one of the most iconic moments in World Cup history, especially if Argentina slip up again and get knocked out of the competition.
For Brazil and Tottenham fans, however, Richarlison’s strike is the best so far. The way he adjusted his body and smashed it home was just brilliant to see, and the Spurs star will surely have his eyes on the Golden Boot now.
Brazil’s next game is against Switzerland on Monday, and Richarlison is almost a guaranteed starter.
