Leeds United legend Lucas Radebe has praised the Whites for their 1-0 Premier League win over Watford today.

The Whites finally got their first victory of the 2021-22 league campaign after three draws and three defeats.

Leeds dominated the Hornets at Elland Road and could’ve easily dished out a hammering.

However, Marcelo Bielsa’s side made it harder for themselves than it should’ve been.

Leeds boasted 67 percent possession, won six corners and had a staggering 20 efforts, though only four of those were on target.

And one tense moment saw Illan Meslier spill the ball and go into the net off Christian Kabasele, but it was ruled out due to a foul in the build-up.

In the end, Diego Llorente’s goal in the 18th minute proved the difference between the two sides.

The Spaniard, back from a hamstring injury he picked up against Liverpool, poked home from close range after a scramble from a corner kick.

Radebe was delighted with a very important three points for Leeds.

He took to Twitter to praise the Yorkshire giants for securing a much-needed confidence booster.

After the international break, Leeds are next in action on Saturday 16 October, with a trip to Southampton.
