Tottenham Hotspur icon Jermain Defoe has returned to Spurs in a coaching and ambassadorial capacity.
The 39-year-old will work across the age groups between Under-17 and U21 level.
Defoe will also help carry out Tottenham’s work in the community, engaging with their global fanbase and supporting club partners.

The former England international returns to the club where he spent two spells as a player, scoring 143 goals in 363 appearances in the process.
It is a second coaching role for Defoe after a brief stint with Rangers, where he spent the majority of his latter playing years.
He retired from playing professional football in March, following a short stint at Sunderland.
Tottenham announced Defoe’s arrival on their website and socials, and Defoe also revealed his arrival on his personal social media.
Fans and peers, including the likes of Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Jenas and James Tavernier congratulated his return to N17.

This is the latest move by Spurs in an ongoing revamping of their youth setup.
Simon Davies has recently taken up the role of head of methodology in the academy at Hotspur Way.
Scott Parker and Ryan Mason both earned their first coaching jobs in the club’s academy.
And Ledley King briefly worked under former manager Jose Mourinho.
