Louie Sibley was amongst those to respond to Ryan Edmondson after the Leeds United striker took to Instagram to express his delight at bagging his first goals on loan at Aberdeen.
It has been a turbulent time for Edmondson. It had previously looked as though his 2020 could be largely written off.

He sustained an injury at the start of the year that ruled him out for three months (via club’s official website). And he had only just made his debut for the Dons when he sustained an injury in training that looked set to sideline him for up to four months (via BBC Sport).
However, Edmondson returned much sooner. And after a handful of substitute appearances for Aberdeen, Derek McInnes handed him his first start on Tuesday night.

It proved to be an incredibly successful full debut for the 19-year-old. He scored twice and provided one assist in a 4-2 win over Hamilton Academical.
Given the year he has had, Edmondson could certainly be forgiven for wanting to continue the celebrations on social media following the victory.
‘Love it you’
He labelled the feeling unbelievable, but insisted that the focus is now on this weekend’s clash with Celtic…
Interestingly, Sibley was amongst those to respond to his message…

The two players know each other from England under-19 duty. The pair both made their debuts at that level in 2019.
But Sibley responding is particularly interesting given that he was linked with Leeds while the transfer window was open. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported that the Whites had made an enquiry for the Derby County youngster.
As noted by the Daily Mirror, Sibley is valued at around £15 million. And it was suggested that the youngster had been on Victor Orta’s radar since a 2019 hat-trick against Leeds’s under-23s.
