Lots of Liverpool fans loved what 20-year-old did after full-time

Valiant Liverpool lost out in the pulsating Premier League title race to Manchester City by a single point on Sunday.

The Reds did their bit by beating Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 at Anfield, but couldn’t rely on Brighton to beat City at the Amex Stadium.

The Citizens sealed their second successive title by winning each of their last 14 games, a truly amazing feat.

Liverpool can count themselves massively unlucky, with their points haul of 97 points good enough to win the league 25 times out of the previous 27 seasons.

Although there was obvious disappointment at the final whistle, but lots of Liverpool fans chose to look at the bigger picture.

There has been major progress over the last year, and the gap between themselves and City has seemingly been bridged.

Reds supporters obviously stayed behind after full-time to congratulate their players on an incredible season, and saw Mo Salah and Sadio Mane jointly presented with the Golden Boot.

And a number of fans loved the fact that Trent Alexander-Arnold was spotted putting in crosses for his friends.

Despite their pain, fans lauded the £50,000-a-week (Total Sportek) full-back, who is firmly established as an Anfield fan favourite following his remarkable rise:
