There have been some incredible players in the Bundesliga over the years.

Some of the greatest players of all-time have plied their trade in the Bundesliga, and speaking to 90Min on TikTok, Lothar Matthaus has been building his all-time five-a-side team made up of Bundesliga stars.

As you can imagine, the likes of Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Muller both earned spots in Matthaus’ team, but there was another interesting pick in Matthaus’ side.

Indeed, despite being just 21 years old, Jamal Musiala earned a spot in the German legend’s team as the greatest attacking midfielder to ever play in Germany.

Interestingly, this comes shortly after Musiala was linked with a move to Arsenal.

Jamal Musiala is one of the greatest

Matthaus built his dream five-a-side team, and he included the current Bayern Munich star.

Musiala has been fantastic for the Bavarian’s in recent times, and it’s clear he’s really impressed Matthaus.

“Best offender in the midfield, Jamal Musiala, and the best striker, Gerd Muller.” Matthaus said,

Jamal Musiala could be a legend

The fact that a figure like Lothar Matthaus is speaking about Musiala in this way just goes to show how talented this young man is.

At the age of just 21, he’s already being considered as one of the greatest Bundesliga players ever, and for good reason.

Musiala has arguably been Bayern Munich’s best player over the past two years, and during the ups and downs of the past few years at the Allianz Arena, Musiala has been one of the only consistent players in the side.

Of course, realistically, Musiala doesn’t deserve a spot in this team – he’s only 21 years old for goodness sake, but the fact that he can even be in this conversation for someone like Matthaus is a testament to his quality.

Musiala is an absolute world-class player, and if he were to join a team like Arsenal this summer, he’d undoubtedly be one of the best players in the Premier League.
