'Looks very sharp': Max Kilman names the Wolves teammate who's really impressed him in training
Kilman said: “He looks very fast, very sharp and you can see in training he’s got a very good eye for goal.
“You can see some of that in the finishes he’s already done in training, so I’m looking forward to playing with him and seeing how he does.
“He’s very close with the Portuguese boys, it’s really good he can settle in and of course he’ll settle in with everyone because he seems like a really nice lad.”
Kilman impressed by Guedes in training
It’s a good sign that Guedes already looks up to speed at Wolves and settled in with his new teammates.
Wolves went into the season without their main striker, after Raul Jimenez picked up an injury in pre-season.
Hwang Hee-chan played in the most advanced role in their 2-1 defeat to Leeds on the opening day, with winger Daniel Podence scoring the goal.
Hwang managed just a single shot though, and only midfielder Leander Dendoncker had more than one attempt on target.
Manager Bruno Lage will therefore be hoping that Guedes can come straight into the team and show some of the form he displayed at Valencia last season.
Although he spent much of last season playing in wider areas for Valencia, he still managed to score ten league goals, the most of his career.
Wolves have plenty of creative options in wide areas, including Hwang, Podence and Pedro Neto, who has been recently linked with a move away from Molineux.
Therefore, Guedes has to transfer some of the shooting ability Kilman’s seen in training into match day performances for Wolves to stand a chance of another top 10 finish.
