‘Looks a lot fitter’, ‘going to have a big season’: Some Spurs fans react to photo of player in training

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to praise Tanguy Ndombele after he was pictured in Spurs training.

The 23-year-old arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to much fanfare last summer in a club record deal, Spurs having reportedly agreed an initial fee of around £55million with Lyon.

However, last season proved difficult for Ndombele, who was in and out of the Tottenham starting XI and wasn’t even in the squad for the last three games of the Premier League season.

As such, speculation emerged over the player’s future, the Daily Mail reporting earlier this month that Jose Mourinho is keen to sell him if a buyer can be found.

One criticism that came Ndombele’s way last term was over his fitness and ability to keep up with the demands of the Premier League.

However, the Frenchman is now back in training and, after an image of him was shared on social media some Spurs fans commented positively on his physique and increased fitness levels.
