'Looking frightening': West Ham's Michail Antonio names five Tottenham players who have seriously impressed him
The Hammers striker appeared on the Footballer’s Podcast with Newcastle United forward Callum Wilson and the pair think Spurs will surprise people this season.
Antonio Conte has added Richarlison to an already strong forward line that involves Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski and Lucas Moura.
And the West Ham man thinks these five players will spearhead a surprising season for Spurs.
Five Spurs players have impressed Antonio
Newcastle striker Wilson said he thinks Conte’s men could throw a spanner in the works this season and will definitely be in the top three due to new signings. He called Son and Kane’s partnership ‘lethal’ and Antonio agreed.
The West Ham striker said: “Spurs, the signings that they have done with Conte, who is solid, if there’s one thing he does with his teams it’s a solid team.
“He knows his shape off by heart and knows how he plays. They have their routine and have everything they have got.
“The connection they have. It’s more just the signings and the players going forward.
“They have done well. When Kane dips they have Son, if Son dips, they have Kane, Richarlison, Kulusevski down the right, Moura. Going forward they are actually looking frightening.
“I feel like they are going to surprise people, especially after last season, they picked up so well.”
Despite playing for Spurs’ bitter London rivals, the 32-year-old clearly thinks Conte’s side will be a force this season.
Tottenham have definitely added depth all over the pitch and even strengthened their attack by signing Richarlison, which wasn’t necessarily needed.
The club have backed their serial-winning manager in the transfer market and Spurs fans should be excited about the upcoming season.
