Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal both lost in the Premier League at the weekend.
Spurs fell to a 1-0 defeat against Brighton in Saturday’s early kickoff.
This gave Arsenal a superb opportunity to climb back into the Premier League’s top four.

However, the Gunners wasted it as they lost 1-0 at Southampton.
Tottenham were hoping to win a fifth league game in a row, but were brought right back down to earth.
But Arsenal lost their third game in a row, all to mid-table teams they’d have been favourites to beat.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright, speaking on Optus Sport, did not like what he saw from the Gunners in the final third.
He acknowledges Mikel Arteta’s charges are in desperate need of a clinical striker.
This is in contract to Tottenham and Manchester United, who have players capable of finishing chances.
“The problem is they need a striker, we haven’t got that striker,” said Wright.
“He’s trying to do it through the way we’re playing, creating chances.
“Goalkeepers are playing well but at the same time the chances that they’re missing is something they should be taking.
“Look at Tottenham, as poor as they were (Saturday), they’re capable of scoring.
“Look at Man United, they’ve got Cristiano Ronaldo so you always fancy them to score.
“Arsenal at the moment are not scoring enough goals.”
Arsenal gamble not paying off, advantage Spurs and United – TBR View
At the end of the season, Arteta’s decision to offload Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will surely come under criticism.
Arsenal have just two senior strikers in Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
There have also been key injuries in other areas, such as Kieran Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey.
However, you could argue strength in depth is something that takes time to build.
Getting rid of your best striker over the years mid-season, meanwhile, now appears to be a reckless gamble that’s backfiring.
Meanwhile, Tottenham now have a front line that’s on a par with Liverpool’s incredible attacking setup.
Neither side has particularly good strength in depth, and Antonio Conte and Arteta will need to address it in summer.
It remains to be seen which side will be able to offer prospective targets Champions League football, mind.
