Arsenal laid down a marker in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
A 6-0 win against Lens showed everyone else in the competition that the Gunners mean business, and the way in which Arsenal won was very impressive.
Six goals, six different goalscorers, Arsenal showed on Wednesday that there is more than one way to skin a cat and they know how to do it all.
Speaking on The Breakdown Live, Adrian Clarke has been discussing the Gunners’ win after the game, and he made a comparison to other top clubs in the Premier League, claiming that nobody, including Spurs, have the breadth of goalscorers that Arsenal have.

Arsenal have the most options
Clarke shared his verdict on Arsenal’s goalscoring options.
“You look at City, look at Spurs, you look at Liverpool. They don’t have the breadth of goalscorers we have. They have six or seven goalscorers, but we’re racking up a list, almost everyone has scored so far, that has to be a good thing,” Clarke said.
Impressive
It has to be said that Arsenal’s goalscoring options are very impressive.
As Clarke says, nobody has quite as many players who can pop up with a goal as Arsenal.
Yes, they don’t have that 20-goal-a-season striker, but they have four or five players who may be good for double figures and another few who could be good for five or six in a season.
At the end of the day, goals are goals, it ultimately doesn’t matter who is scoring them. We’ve seen in recent years, particularly with Manchester City in the 2021/22 season than it’s possible to win major competitions without having a so-called ‘natural’ goalscorer in the side, and it has to be said that Arsenal look good value to go on and do something very special this season.
Perhaps Arsenal don’t need a player like Ivan Toney in January after all.
