Leeds United fans look forward to an annual transfer link with Lazio and Ecuador striker Felipe Caicedo every summer.
This summer, it was reported by Imperio, that Leeds United were set for talks with the Ecuador striker.
It was claimed that these talks would progress at the ‘request’ of Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa.
Twelve months previously, Bielsa was also said to be keen on Caicedo, As reported by Diario La Grada, relayed and translated by Sport Witness, the Ecuador international was open to a Leeds move.
No move ever happened and the transfer windows around Europe and the world are all starting to shut with Caicedo looking set to stay at Lazio.

However, with his contract set to expire at the end of the season, Leeds fans would have no doubt been hearing about their interest in Caicedo yet again come January.
But that no longer looks likely. Yesterday, the Serie A side confirmed on their official website that Caicedo had signed a new deal keeping him at the club until the summer of 2022.
The 31-year-old is therefore contracted to remain in Rome until he is 33-years-old at which point a move to Leeds will have surely passed him by.
Hopefully, this latest update draws a line under any further apparent interest from Leeds in the 68-cap international striker.
