Loan move could help Sambou earn himself a new Everton deal
Bassala Sambou’s contract with Everton is set to come to an end this summer.
The young striker signed a three-year deal back in 2016 and his contract will expire in summer 2019.
Sambou faces a race against time to convince the Everton hierarchy that he deserves a contract extension.
The former Coventry City striker is yet to make his first-team bow for the Toffees and he doesn’t look like getting that chance any time soon.
And he has never been out on loan, playing only in Everton’s youth teams.
Sambou’s only senior outing was in the FA Cup for Coventry before he refused a contract with the Sky Blues in summer 2016.
But this season, the German-born forward has been in red hot form for Everton’s youth team.

In seven matches for Everton’s under-23 side this season, Sambou has struck five goals.
That included a goal away at Bradford City in the Checkatrade Trophy, when he came off the bench to open the scoring.
Sambou has talent and a natural knack of finding the net. He just needs to prove himself at senior level.
A loan move this January could make or break the 20-year-old. If he impresses, Everton surely have to reward him with a new deal.
But if he struggles, it could be the end of Sambou’s time at Everton when his contract expires in the summer.
