‘Lmao’, ‘this club is jokes’: Some Spurs fans react to what Fabrizio Romano has tweeted

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have responded to Fabrizio Romano’s tweet claiming reported Spurs target Peter Gulacsi won’t be going anywhere this summer.

German outlet BILD reported earlier this week that Tottenham had set their sights on the RB Leipzig goalkeeper and Hungary international.

Spurs stopper Hugo Lloris is only contracted to the club until next summer and, with him turning 35 this year, the north Londoners may well have been looking at potential successors.

However, Romano has reported that Gulacsi has reached an agreement with the Bundesliga club to extend his contract until the summer of 2025.​

If the rumour mill is anything to go by, Spurs have received several knockbacks over the past few weeks.

Julian Nagelsmann and Erik ten Hag, two managers linked with Tottenham, have both committed their futures elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Brendan Rodgers is reportedly not interested in the Spurs role.
