Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has declared himself fit to start against Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup, dismissing recent claims of tiredness.
The Senegal international was left on the bench against Norwich City for the Reds’ Premier League opener last Friday, having had just two weeks off this summer.

The ace represented his country at the Africa Cup of Nations after winning the Champions League, and only returned to Melwood last week.
Despite the lack of recovery time, Mane insists he is raring to go again.
He said (club’s official website): “Yes, I think I’m ready [to start]. Tiredness, I think, is here [pointing to his head] – for sure.
“I’ve been playing professional football a long time [and] I think I never even have holidays more than 20 days [for the last] seven years now.

“I’m used to it and, for sure, I’m ready. I’m here, so let’s do it.”
Supporters have been concerned about the former Southampton man and his condition going into the new season, but it would appear they don’t have too much to worry about.
