Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson names Jack Grealish as his best player of 2020

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has stated he believes Jack Grealish to be the Premier League’s best player in 2020.

Grealish has been in outstanding form this season, becoming one of the top performing players in the country and finally convincing Gareth Southgate that he warrants an England place.

And despite playing with the talent he does at Liverpool, the Reds skipper believes Grealish deserves credit for his footballing year.

“Jack Grealish has been really good so far. I think he’s improved, matured and has taken his game to another level. He’s one of the players that’s been a standout this season I’d say,” Henderson told TalkSport.

“Obviously I’d be biased and I’d say a lot of my teammates as well but I’d probably pick Jack so far.”

Villa have enjoyed a fine first third to the Premier League season, with some even believing a push for Europe could be on the cards with Grealish in such fine form.

A lot of players have improved and adapted to life without fans around but for whatever reason, Grealish really has developed into a world-class talent.

Everything Villa do goes through him. His balance, drive from midfield, and creativity have been crucial, while he’s also developed into a leader under Dean Smith.
