Erling Braut Haaland’s release clause at RB Salzburg has been revealed – and it’s seemingly a value that should surely interest Liverpool.
According to German publication Bild, the teenage striker – who has notched an incredible 27 goals in just 20 games so far this season – will apparently be available for just £17 million in January.
It is thought Borussia Dortmund are leading the chance for the 19-year-old, but Manchester United are also understood to be very keen.
News of the starlet being available for just £17 million is bound to spark teams into a frenzy next month, and Liverpool would be fools not to get involved.
TBR’s view – Haaland the real deal
It sounds as though Haaland already has a great respect for Liverpool given his recent comments about the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards should therefore definitely consider swooping for the striker, who would bring something totally different.
Standing at 6ft 4in tall, Haaland is a complete handful for defenders and Liverpool don’t have any kind of physical presence in attack at the moment.
Roberto Firmino is a sensational player, but Haaland would be a useful alternative option to have coming off the bench.
Then of course later down the line, he could replace the Brazilian as the new Anfield number nine.
