Liverpool will miss out on potential windfall from the deal that saw Rafael Camacho head to Sporting Lisbon this summer.
The Portuguese talent returned to his homeland last summer in a deal worth an eventual €5 million (£4.5m).
However, it is reported by Record that sporting only paid an initial €2.5 million (£2.2m) of that deal. Another €2 million (£1.8m) would have been due this summer, had Camacho played a certain amount of games for Sporting this season.
However, it is now impossible for him to meet that target and Sporting will not have to pay out the money.

Camacho has played 21 times for Sporting this season, registering just one goal and one assist, following his move from Liverpool.
It was also reported that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp remains in contact with the player, reiterating a previous report from A Bola suggesting the same.
Klopp was certainly a fan of the player. As he told the press last April, as relayed by This Is Anfield, he dubbed the talented winger a ‘really good player’ and it seemed Liverpool’s boss was fairly disappointed at the idea of losing him.
“Wonderful player, really good player, both-footed, very well-educated in Portugal and we gave him the next level.”
Undoubtedly, Liverpool will be keeping tabs on his progress in Lisbon and hoping he can one day become the top player many expected he might.
