Liverpool told eight-goal Premier League star would suit Reds, compared to Jota

Jose Enrique thinks Tottenham attacker Son Heung-min would suit Liverpool, amid comments made by Trent Alexander-Arnold about the Spurs ace. Alexander-Arnold recently named Son as one of two players he would sign.

Son, 29, is considered a Tottenham icon after joining the club in the summer of 2015. Clocking up a huge 303 games in all competitions, the South Korea skipper has scored a huge 116 goals and has laid on 68 assists.

This season, his form has continued to earn praise – despite an up-and-down season at Spurs. Antonio Conte is getting a tune out of his players, but only after a poor start to the campaign under the guidance of Nuno Espirito Santo.

Earlier this month, Alexander-Arnold was asked who he would sign – if he could sign two players. He named Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, and Son. Enrique agrees, comparing Son to Diogo Jota.

Enrique on Son: Could Liverpool prove tempting for Tottenham man?

Son is certainly up there with the best forwards in Tottenham’s history. With Harry Kane starting to splutter into life, it was argued earlier in the season that Son is actually a more-important part of the Spurs side – above Kane.

If Tottenham were to consider selling Son, then it is likely that it would cost a Premier League record – especially with Son penning a deal until 2025. But forgetting the likelihood of a move, or a price tag, Son suits Liverpool.

The Reds need wide players that score goals and work hard. Son has all those traits, from the left flank. If Liverpool could sign Son, then surely they would – but the chances of doing so are almost zero.
